In her early years, Brittany had dreams of being part of the USA Olympic Gymnastics Team, a dream that did come to life…in her backyard. Later, Brittany started running track when she was 13-years-old as a social activity. This led her to run cross country and track throughout high school. She joined the Colorado State University’s team as a walk-on her junior and senior years. Following college, Brittany ventured into the marathon distance, where she found her passion.

It took Brittany nearly 15 years to win her first race…like, ever. Finally in 2015, she won the Chi Town Half Marathon and hasn’t stopped there. To date, Brittany has run eight marathons. She won the 2017 Colfax Marathon in Denver and is the current course record holder with a time of 2:52.

Brittany qualified for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials at the Los Angeles Marathon in 2018 with a time of 2:36:34. She matched this P.R. with her 17th overall finish and 10th American woman in the TCS New York City Marathon in 2018.

Comedy & Acting

Following a gut feeling to “just try acting,” Brittany stepped into her first acting class…like, ever in 2014 while living in Sydney, Australia. The fire was ignited, so she followed her passion to Chicago to study comedy. She studied improv, sketch comedy and comedic writing at The Second City, The Annoyance Theater, and iO Theater in Chicago.

In Denver, Brittany is a graduate of The Bovine Metropolis Theater’s improv class 87 and has written for and performed in various improv and sketch comedy shows, including a finalist of Denver’s Next Improv Star Season 8.

Most recently, Brittany has combined her two passions bringing them to life in her one-woman sketch comedy show called “My Long Distance Relationship with Running: From The Early Miles To The Olympic Trials.” She has performed the show in Denver and Chicago and hopes to continue to tour the show in 2019.

Brittany lives, trains and performs in the Denver area with the never-ending support of her husband Justin (a.k.a. “Jusband”) and their two cats There’s a Pool Party on Saturday and Snacks.

She also is a youth running coach with Peak Performance Running and teaches improv at The Bovine Metropolis Theater.
