After attending a weekend one-person-show workshop at Second City in Chicago early February 2018, Brittany was instantly inspired to write her own one-woman show, which debuted in Denver at The Bovine Metropolis Theater in June 2018.
The show centers around her relationship with “running” voiced by her husband and personified by an adorable pink treadmill on which she actually runs on stage. The story takes us through their 17-year relationship from puppy love miles to eventually “going all the way” in the marathon. Peppered throughout the show are character scenes filled with all things running-related, including a Paula Lean cooking demonstration on “how to hate running.”
“I wrote this show to tell my running story, but also to hopefully inspire others to chase their dreams no matter how long it takes them,” Brittany says.
Brittany recently ran with her show to Judy’s Beat Lounge at the Second City in Chicago during the Chicago Marathon weekend. She plans to tour with the show in 2019 to various cities across the country. Stay tuned for upcoming dates, locations and ticket information!
